Cloonee has released Are You Still You?, his first full-length record after years of fast, club-built singles. The 16-track album is out now through Good Music For Bad People and Hellbent Records, and it is available via Cloonee’s official album page.
Beatportal’s August announcement described it as Cloonee’s first full-length after 14 years in dance music. That is enough context without turning the release into a victory lap: a debut album is a different proposition from another single designed for immediate club play.
There is a simple tension at the centre of it. Fans have spent years attaching their own preferred era to his name, and Cloonee has heard all of it. “One comment I’ve seen throughout my career is, ‘bring back the old Cloonee’,” he said in a statement reported by Beatportal. “The funny thing though, there’s an equal amount of people that ask for a different Cloonee, this Cloonee & that Cloonee. Plus, let’s not forget the current Cloonee.”
That gives the album a cleaner premise than the usual debut-record script. This is not being sold as a hard reset or a reinvention. Cloonee’s own line is that he wanted to give listeners “every Cloonee”: the old version, the current one and whatever comes next. It is a useful answer to the expectation that a dance act must either repeat its biggest moment forever or abandon it completely.
The timing was not rigidly mapped out. In a release-day interview with EUPHORIA., Cloonee said he had initially expected to put out several singles during 2026, with an album roughly planned for early 2027. Then the material built up faster than expected. “We were aiming to put out an album during Q1 of 2027,” he said. “There was a rough plan to do an album, and then it kind of just came together way before that.”
That unforced route matters because it keeps the record tied to the club-facing pace that brought him here. Cloonee told EUPHORIA. that the process felt “a lot smoother” and “a lot less intense” than the deadline-heavy album mythology musicians often inherit. He also resisted turning the project into a grand concept record simply because the format invited it. “I really wanted to stay true to myself,” he said. “So I literally just went and gave people a straight balls-to-the-wall Cloonee album.”
That is the better frame for Are You Still You? before anyone tries to declare it a career pivot. It is a full-length statement, but it does not pretend that the dancefloor instincts have suddenly disappeared. The 16-song track list moves between solo cuts and collaborations without changing that central claim, as documented by CULTR. The record gathers a broader run of work under one title rather than asking listeners to forget the releases that made its arrival feel overdue.
A 16-track debut is still a proper commitment in a scene that often lives release to release. Whether every listener agrees on which version of Cloonee they want is beside the point. He has made the argument for keeping them in the same room. Listen to Are You Still You? through the official album page.
